Polygon and AlmaBetter partner for Web3 education

Amid a significant demand-supply gap in Web3 talent, tech upskilling platform AlmaBetter has partnered with Ethereum scaling blockchain firm Polygon to offer programs in blockchain and Web3 development.

Polygon will serve as AlmaBetter’s official curriculum and hiring partner, providing specially curated and designed programs for students and young professionals in line with industry requirements and demand. These programs will be accessible on the AlmaBetter platform and aim to reach 100,000 students by March 2023.

The program is open to all individuals, regardless of prior domain experience, and follows a pay-after-placement model. Upon completing the program, students will be offered placement opportunities. Polygon has also committed to rewarding the top performers with $MATIC coins upon successful completion of the course.

Spanning 28 weeks, the program will cover the fundamentals of full stack web development, with a specialization in Web3 development. It encompasses basic programming, system design, cloud services, and blockchain technology.

The curriculum comprises five modules: Programming Web with Basic Javascript, Frontend Development, Backend Development, System Design and Architecture, and Web 3.0 Blockchain Technology. Interested individuals can now enroll in the program, with a nominal refundable security fee, to kickstart their careers in Web3.

According to a NASSCOM report, it is projected that over the next few years, the country will witness the creation of over 800,000 jobs in blockchain and other Web3-related fields.
